     Abbey Fern unknown was Name - Indexed circa 1929. As of 1929,her married name was Abbey Fern Wood.¹ In the 1930 US Census, Kenneth Wood is found living with Abbey Wood in Schenectady, NY and I assume they are married. They are boarding with the family of George W. Tracy. From their ages listed and ages of their first marriages, it can be surmized thay have been married about one year. Three years later, 1933, Kenneth Allen Wood is granted a divorce from a Fern Wood in Dade County Florida. It is assumed that Abbey and Fern are the same person but so far no marriage or other records have been found to confirm this. Also, this marriage is not listed in the Wood family bible that contains more recent marriages (but is not complete by any means). Near the end of that year, 23 Dec. 1933, Kenneth marries the former wife of his brother Dean, Cora Lee Browning in Ft. Pierce Florida.^2,1 She and Kenneth Allen Wood It is not clear what this woman's name is or if it is even one woman. In the 1930 US Census Kenneth Allen Wood was living wtih an Abbey Wood in Schenectady, NY. In 1933 he was divorced from a Fern Wood in Miami, Florida. between 1930 and 1933.

     He WILLIAM HAMPTON and Mahaley had first child ISAAC August 2, 1835, before they left Leon County. "Soldiers and Sailors of Florida" tells us that he served the Confederacy as a cavalryman. Washington records show that his unit was the 3rd Georgia Battalion, later absorbed by Clinch's 4th Georgia Regiment. At one time he was in a Florida outfit, Company II of the 2nd Cavalry. Before enlisting ISAAC had married Henrietta Williams at Callahan, Florida. (This couple never had any children; Dowling had been trained in the mercantile business by a twenty-one year old merchant, Thomas Dillon, who had come to Florida from Nova Scotia! ISAAC died February 4, 1913, and was buried beside his wife "in South Jacksonville". She had predeceased him some one or two years; she was born.²

     He THE SECOND SON OF WILLIAM HAMPTON'S was a child who only lived from June 28, 1837, to January 10, 1848. The boy was named JOHN WEST; he was buried just nine months after Mahaley and Mr. Dowling lost another fine boy.²
