Subject: Wilbur Boyce Dowling
Hello.
I happened upon your site while surfing. My name is Melissa Dowling Johnson. I am the granddaughter of Wilber and Lily, daughter of James Dexter. The correct information of my family is as follows.
James Dexter Sr. is now deceased. He married Mary E. COLBERG and they had four children. Linda A. Dowling (married Robert A. Youth, 3 children Robert J, Michael D, and Elizabeth Dowling Youth) James Dexter II (married Stephanie Underwood, no children) Anthony P. (not married, no children) and myself (married Christopher A. Johnson, one child Emily Dowling).
I thought it was very interesting that you did refer to my eldest brother as Beau. That is his nickname since childhood, so your sources were pretty good.
Please feel free to contact me if I can help you further. Thank you for your efforts in making this information available to us. - [S442] Letter from Miki Fluker (unknown author address) to Walter Wood, 2 June 2003; unknown repository (unknown repository address). From: e-mail address

Subject: A Dowling from the past
Hi, Walter...I am your second cousin, Miki Ann Fluker Causey. My grandmother was your greataunt, Harriet MamieSue Dowling Fluker.
I really enjoyed your webpage! It gave me lots of Dowling information, although I have quite a bit. When i called my Dad to tell him about you, he said he took you fishing once in Kissimmee (I think). I am sending you a picture. I am the little girl in white (born 1952). Dad says he thinks you are kneeled in front of my mother (who is to the left of me). My Dad is standing in the right hand corner of the picture. Do you have this picture? Daddy knows the names of 1/2 of the adults. Do you know the children?
Let me hear from you.
Your new cousin!
Miki. - [S447] Letter from Karen Ginn (unknown author address) to Walter Wood, 13 Nov 2003; unknown repository (unknown repository address). From: karen ginn [mailto:e-mail address]

Subject: The Wood Family
Hi, Janice Sweet introduced me to your web-site and I just took a look. My husband is probably a cousin of yours, but while looking through your listings I failed to find a link. Let me start from my husband, his name is Jerry Ginn. His mother was Ruby Benjamin Ginn. Her father was Harry Benjamin. His Mother was Missouri Wood Benjamin. Her father was Absolum Wood, the same as your Absolum Wood born 6/21/1911. Missouri is buried next to her Mother and Father, Absolom and Phebe McCohan Wood in Bethel, Ohio.
Jerry's aunt told about an adoption in the family, but made reference to a male. I was a newly wed then and didn't pay much attention (I wish I had). Anyway, please let me know if you know of Missouri. Is her brother(?) Orlando buried in Bethel, Oh, Tate Township Cemetery?
Thanks for your help.
