     Harmon Demaris was born on 19 May 1820 at Clermont, Ohio, United States.1 He married Mary Jane Turner, daughter of William Turner and Martha Patsy Houston, in January 1845.1 Harmon Demaris married Elizabeth Forkner, daughter of Owen Forkner and Ruth unknown, on 29 January 1866.1 Harmon Demaris died after 1883 since he joined the I.O.O.F in 1870 and apparently was alive when the History of Brown Co., 1883 was written.1
     He and Mary Jane Turner HARMON DEMARIS, farmer, P. O. Maple, son of John and Abigail (Shaw) Demaris, and was born in Clermont County, Ohio, May 19, 1820. His parents were natives of New Jersey, and came to Ohio about 1816. Mr. Demaris was raised on a farm and was married in January, 1845, to Mary, daughter of William and Martha Turner. They had born them seven children. [This article continues to name those children's births, marriages and deaths. His wife Mary [Turner] died December 15, 1864, and he married Elizabeth, daughter of Owen and Ruth Forkner, January 29, 1866, who was born in Grant County, Ky., June 11. 1841; she bore him three children… Mr. Demaris is a member of De Soto Lodge, 374, I.O.O.F., since 1870. An honest, industrious, quite citizen.1

     Matthew Davidson was born at Pennsylvania, United States.1 He married Mary Hill, daughter of Alexander Hill, at Pennsylvania, United States.1 Matthew Davidson died on 14 March 1814.1
     He ... Mathew and Mary (Hill) Davidson, who removed from Pennsylvania to Harrison County, Ky., in 1778, and settled near Washington. ... Mathew Davidson and his family and father settled in Union Township and purchased Harrison's Survey of the original purchasers. They spent their summers in their new Western home; then in the autumn would return with all their stock to Boone's Fort in Old Kentucky. They were intimately acquainted with Daniel Boone and Simon Kenton, the two distinguished pioneers of the West. Matthew Davidson built the Presbyterian stone church near Red Oak, which was the first in the township. He aided in many other important improvements and was a man of influence. He died March 14, 1814, and his wife followed him in 1852, aged seventy-eight years. in 1778 at Washington, Brown, Ohio, United States.1
