His facts were apparently from notes taken during a conversation with his father Carl Erwin Wood in 1956. on 5 June 1976 at Underhill, Vermont.1 He died in 1985 at Stuart, Martin, Florida; Believed died in Stuart and lived in Jensen Beach Florida.2

He was Railroad engineer shown as occupation on census. on 16 April 1910.7 He A picture taken of Carl, Addie, Dean and Frank with children less than five years old was taken in Souix City IA. He and Addie R. Allen were divorced late 1930s.8 Carl Erwin Wood married Venus (?) circa 1945 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio; "Dad about 1945 married a widow and childhood playmate, Venus Manning at Bethel, O. where they lived."8 Carl Erwin Wood died on 20 April 1959 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio, at age 82.9 He died in May 1959 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio, at age 82; Frank wrote about his Dad dying in Bethel.1,8 He was buried after May 1959 at Bethel-Tate Cemetary Manning Plot, Bethel, Clermont, Ohio; buried in the "Manning family plot" next to wife Venus and her first husband Elmer Jerome Manning - info and photo by Steven L. He was born on 3 November 1843 at Cattaraugus, NY.1 He was the son of Edwin Orletus Locke and Mahala Nahana Fish.1 Edwin Adelbert Locke and Mahala Nahana Fish lived after 1850 at Cleveland, Ohio.2 Edwin Adelbert Locke appeared on the census of 21 August 1850 in the household of Edwin Orletus Locke and Mahala Nahana Fish at Little Valley, Cattaraugus, New York.3 Edwin Adelbert Locke witnessed the Milt-Note of an unknown person between 1862 and 1865 at Civil War Service.4 He began military service on 26 May 1862 at Cleveland, Ohio, enlisted a a Private in Company E, 84th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

He returned to upstate New York and married.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Kennedy, daughter of James Kennedy and Bridget Martin, on 11 October 1874 at Holy Cross Cathedral, Boston, Suffolk, Massachussetts; married 22 or 25 years. 1900 MA Census shows 25 while 1900 NH Census shows 22.6,7,8 Edwin Adelbert Locke and Edwin Albert Allie Locke lived before 1875 at Boston, Massachusetts; moved from NY state to Boston to be with mother after death of wife and daughter.2 Edwin Adelbert Locke was author on 6 June 1900.6 He and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 at Chelsea, Sufflok, Massachussetts.6 Edwin Adelbert Locke was Dramatic Writer on 14 June 1900.7 He and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy appeared on the census of 14 June 1900 at Enfield Twsp, Grafton, New Hampshire; This family also appears in Celsea, Suffolk Co MA Census 6 June 1900.7 Edwin Adelbert Locke appeared on the census of 3 January 1920 at Enfield Twsp, Grafton, New Hampshire; Edwin A Locke age 75, Evelyn Locke age 41, Marion Locke age 36.9,10 He was occupation listed as "None" on 3 January 1920.9 He died on 19 November 1929 at Enfield, Grafton, New Hampshire, at age 86; from NEHGS record. He was too young to enlist but he was 6' 4" and strong so they took him (he lied about his age to sign the papers). He was in the 64th Ohio (I think that's what it was called.). They headed south in the war and guarded bridges. Then he was assigned to escort a young guy with small pox home from the war. They got back to Ohio and it turned out the guy only had chicken pox. Sweetie returned to his group down south but the war ended right after that.
