     Charlotte Welch Thompson Reported to be descended from a passenger on the Mayflower. She "CHARLOTTE WELCH THOMPSON. b. Sept. 9 1816; d. Dec. 14,1873 (57yr.3m., 3d.); m. Jan. 19 1845, Ekekiel Edwin TURNER, b. Dec 17, 1817 d. June 2, 1889. This family lived on a farm two and one-half miles south of Bethel, O. on the Cincinnati Pike; this was sold to Mr. Poole and a farm purchased on the same road in Brown County, three and one-half miles east of Bethel, O. of 213 acres, to which forty acres of timber land were added. Mr. Turner started in life without means, but by hard work he became well-to-do; he was a good business manager, a good neighbor, and always ready to help the sick and dying all that lay in his power. Of the wife no one could speak too highly in praise; her life was regarded as a well-nigh perfect one; among the sick and dying she was of strongest help, for seven days and nights she waited on a sick orphan girl, who was an entire stranger to her, with the most loving care; Mrs. Fred Morgan, who had lived beside her for twenty years, declared that she had never seen a woman like her for helpfulness; she was one of the finest spinners, and in the fall before she died she spun twenty-four cuts of long reeled yarn as a days 's work; she was a good weaver."² She was born circa 1814 at Pennsylvania; At her death on Dec 14, 1879, she was listed as 59 years old. 1870 Census lists PA as state of birth.³ She was born on 9 September 1816.¹ She was the daughter of Elisha Baker Thompson and Mary Douglass. Charlotte Welch Thompson was (an unknown value) in November 1832 at Joined Church, Bethel, Clermont, Ohio.⁴ She married Ezekiel Edwin Turner, son of Adam Turner and Jane (?), on 19 January 1845 at Clermont, Ohio.^1,5 Charlotte Welch Thompson and Ezekiel Edwin Turner appeared on the census of 23 August 1850 at Tate Township, Clermont, Ohio; Lived near Adam Turner and Joseph Turner. His cccupation was farmer owning 1200 acres of land.⁶
Charlotte Welch Thompson C.W. and E.E Turner gave Geo. A. and Lucy A. Wood a family bible. on 1 May 1872.⁷ As of 1 May 1872, Charlotte Welch Thompson was also known as C. W. Turner E.E. and C.W. Turner gave George A. and Lucy A. Wood a family bible on May 1, 1872.⁷ She died on 14 December 1872 at age 56; this date is from "Monument Inscriptions" and the year (1872) is incorrect.⁸ She died on 14 December 1873 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio, at age 57.^9,10,11 She was buried after 14 December 1873 at Tate Township Cemetery, Tate Township, Clermont, Ohio; shares headstone with husband Ezekiel and daughter Mary A. Turner. According to source (compiled by DAR) which is a transcription, date of death is 1872. This apparently is an error as two other independant sources show 1873 as year of death.¹²

Ezekiel Edwin Turner was . . . in March, 1852, was ordained . . . and E. E. Turner to the deaconship, . . .⁷ He appeared on the census of 29 June 1860 at Hamersville, Tate Township, Brown, Ohio; Ezekiel was age 41. Apparently four daughters living with them.

His occupation is farmer and birthplace is KY.⁸ He was Ezekiel's wife Charlotte died. on 14 December 1873 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio.⁹ He married Keziah C. (?) between 1874 and 1880 at Clermont, Ohio; Place of mariage is assumed since residence of Ezekial is same county in both 1870 and 1880 Census. Date is between Charlotte Turner's death and 1880 Census.^10,8 Ezekiel Edwin Turner Newspaper under heading "Court Proceedings" stating: "John Henderson, Sr. vs. E. E. Turner. Continued at palintiff's costs."

No other details. on 21 January 1877 at Clermont, Ohio.¹¹ He was realestate Newspaper item under "Real Estate Transfers" states: "E. E. Turner to Mary South, 42 1/2 acres in Tate township, $1886." on 17 October 1877 at Tate Twsp., Clermont, Ohio.¹² He appeared on the census of 24 June 1880 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio; Ezekiel Turner, a farmer living with wife Keziah and a border Eliza Harris.¹³ He died on 2 June 1889 at age 71.¹ He died on 2 June 1889 at Clermont, Ohio, at age 71; was resident of Clermont County when will was written.^14,15 He was buried after 2 June 1889 at Tate Township Cemetery, Tate Township, Clermont, Ohio; shares a headstone with wife Charlotte and daughter Mary A. Turner.¹⁵

      Lucy Ann Turner was also known as Lucy A. Turner.² She was born on 25 July 1850 at Bethel, Clermont, Ohio; from marriage record and Thompson Family in Maine.^3,4 She was born on 25 July 1851 at Ohio; date from family Bible and on tombstone.^5,6 She was the daughter of Ezekiel Edwin Turner and Charlotte Welch Thompson. Lucy Ann Turner married George Absalom Wood, son of Dr. David Wood and Mary Day, on 15 August 1869 at Clermont, Ohio; Turner, Lucy A age 18 and Wood, George A age 20, 15 Aug 1869, by J. H. Lockwood, M.G. Bood 10 Page 208.^1,7,8 As of 15 August 1869,her married name was Wood.⁹ Lucy Ann Turner died on 8 December 1893 at age 42.^9,10 She was buried after 8 December 1893 at Union Cemetery, Science Hill, Kentucky; buried next to husband George Absalom Wood.¹¹ She Her name is listed as mother on Walter George Wood's death certificate.¹²

      Everett Harding Wood was also known as Emmet Harding Wood.³ He was born on 12 January 1899.⁴ He was born on 12 January 1899 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.^3,5 He was the son of Frank Clarence Wood and Emma E. Ivens. Everett Harding Wood married Bernice Lee Baker circa 1931; Marriage year of 1931 is listed with a question make beside it in family bible.³ Everett Harding Wood married Bernice Lee Baker on 11 June 1932 at Chestertown, Maryland.⁶

     Clarence Richard Wood was born on 17 June 1905 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.² He was the son of Frank Clarence Wood and Barbara A. Harsh. Clarence Richard Wood married Thelma R Rambo, daughter of Alex Rambo and Rebecca Householder, before 22 December 1928. Clarence Richard Wood lived in 1945 at Sarasota, Sarasota, Florida. He died on 1 December 1988 at Sarasota, Sarasota, Florida, at age 83.
